Abstract

The use of royal jelly as a stimulant of precursor hormones of the estrous cycle is a topic that explores the potential of this substance to influence hormonal balance and reproductive function. Royal jelly is a substance produced by bees to feed the queen and developing larvae, rich in B vitamins, vitamin C, minerals such as calcium and iron, proteins, lipids and bioactive compounds, royal jelly can impact the body of several ways. In the context of the estrous cycle, which is the reproductive cycle of females, including humans, royal jelly can play a significant role. The estrous cycle is regulated by a series of hormones, including estrogens and progesterone, and precursor hormones are those that precede the production of these main hormones. These hormones are essential for regulating the menstrual cycle and maintaining fertility. Royal jelly can influence the estrous cycle in several ways. First, its bioactive components, such as flavonoids and essential fatty acids, can affect the production and activity of hormones in the body, promoting a more adequate hormonal balance. This can help regulate estrogen and progesterone levels. Furthermore, royal jelly can stimulate the production of precursor hormones, essential for the synthesis of the main hormones of the estrous cycle, which can improve general hormonal function and regulate the menstrual cycle. There is also evidence to suggest that royal jelly may have positive effects on fertility, possibly due to its ability to balance hormones and improve reproductive health. However, these effects still need to be confirmed by more rigorous studies.

In addition to directly influencing hormones, royal jelly can support overall reproductive health due to its richness in nutrients and bioactive compounds, which can improve endocrine function and promote a healthy environment for reproduction. Although the potential benefits are promising, scientific evidence is still limited and studies into royal jelly and its influence on the estrous cycle are ongoing. Therefore, it is recommended to use royal jelly with professional guidance, considering that more research is needed to fully understand its effects and mechanisms. In summary, royal jelly may offer benefits for hormone regulation and reproductive health, but its use should be approached with caution until more scientific evidence confirms its effects and safety.
