Proper Social Security Regime, Federal Constitution, Retirement.
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the social security system itself, briefly discussing its characteristics and
problems that involve the issue under analysis. Historically, public servants' social security has been
an element of great and instigating discussions, especially because it is classically unsystematic and
free, and can be measured through privileges for certain functional categories. The creation of the
Proper Social Security Regime (RPPS) aims to ensure the payment of benefits to its policyholders,
the regime being characterized as a social security system specifically designed for civil servants,
within the three spheres of the federation and for the military of the States and of the Federal District.
Thus, this study seeks to present some considerations on the issue, not seeking to exhaust the matter.
The methodology used in this study is the bibliographic review, using information from articles
published in journals, books and jurisprudence on the subject.
