Abstract

Introduction: When stress occurs at levels that exceed the adaptive capacity of the individual, combined with the fact that the problem is not faced, Burnout Syndrome is developed as a response to the chronification of the condition. Primarily it is a disease that affects professionals who work routinely with other people. Burnout literally means an individual who can no longer adapt to stressors. Objective: The aim of this study is to approach the implications of Burnout Syndrome in physicians. Methodological aspects: This is an integrative literature review, a method that allows the construction of knowledge and the inclusion of the applicability of the results of relevant studies in the practical field. To elaborate the corpus of the research, we will use consultations in scientific databases on the internet: Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo), MEDLINE, and LILACS. The descriptors of the Descriptors in Health Sciences will be used: Occupational Diseases. Psychological Exhaustion. Medicine. The publication period of the literature will be from 2012 and 2022. Results: Indeed, aiming at better health conditions, it is sought to effect practices that corroborate with the sanitation of mental problems arising from exhausting hours of work.
