Viabilidade ambiental, técnica e econômica acerca do tijolo solo-cimento na construção civil
Abstract
The growth of the Civil Construction segment is notorious, which increases environmental degradation. Given this, it is of utmost importance to apply systems, techniques and/or construction materials that allow the execution of works with minimal environmental impacts, without disregarding the parameters of quality, cost and performance of buildings. In this perspective, this study aims to present the construction process using soil-cement bricks, a material composed by mixing the mass produced with soil, water and cement. In addition, it seeks to indicate the technical and economic feasibility of this product to reconcile civil construction with sustainable development. To this end, the literature review methodology is applied. In this logic, the execution of constructions with the use of soil-cement bricks, in comparison with the traditional ceramic bricks, occurs through a simpler and more precise procedure. From the perspective of feasibility, the use of soil-cement bricks presents several favorable points, among which deserve to be highlighted the lack of firing and the reduction in the use of materials and labor. Regarding the costs, it was found that besides being technically and environmentally feasible, the soil-cement brick is economically feasible, even with the small number of companies that sell these bricks.
