el caso de los distritos de Metuge y Gondola Moçambique

Resumen

La producción agroecológica es un marco integral para el uso sostenible de la biodiversidad que también apoya la productividad y la resiliencia. Los agricultores se benefician de los sistemas diversificados através de una mayor resiliencia económica y una menor dependencia de los insumos agrícolas. Los modelos agroecológicos en el aspecto de agricultura sostenible se caracterizan en la agricultura orgánica; biológico; biodinámica; y permacultura, los hogares son vitales para la transición hacia modelos de agricultura más sostenibles. El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo describir el modelo agroecológico del sector familiar, por lo que mediante un muestreo aleatorio se realizaron encuestas a 200 hogares de las comunidades de Nacuta, Mieze, Góndola e Inchope sobre saberes tradicionales y/o formas locales de producción. Los datos se analizaron con el paquete estadístico SPSS y los resultados mostraron el modelo orgánico más expresivo. El maíz fue el principal cultivo en todas las zonas (100%), la yuca es la más cultivada en Nacuta (94%), Góndola (84%), Inchope (65%) y Mieze (44%). La agricultura de secano fue el tipo de cultivo más utilizado por los hogares con frecuencias de 98% (Mieze), 94% (Nacuta), 93% (Inchope), siendo el intercalado más frecuente (29,40%) el maíz, la yuca y el maní. Las características productivas de las comunidades evidenciaron la no utilización de complementos agrícolas, asemejándose al modelo de producción orgánica.
