Exposição digital às telas e suas consequências para a criança

Introduction: Technologies are intimately present in people's lives, with digital exposure to screens inserted during the first years of children's lives. Technological action in this age group can promote a variety of deleterious biopsychophysiological effects on child. Thus, it is essential to analyze the scientific community on the subject, in order to mitigate these effects in the next generations. Objective: To highlight the relationship between screen time and the consequences for children. Method: A study was carried out in the form of an Integrative Literature Review. Data collection was carried out on national and international research platforms. The Health Sciences Descriptors used were: “screen time”, child and “child development”. 4558 articles were found, of which 16 articles were selected. Results: Most articles were cataloged as systematic reviews and cross-sectional studies (n=5; 28.2%) each. In addition, there is a greater predominance of the United States of America as the country of origin of the research, of English as the main language and of the years 2022 (n=6; 37.5%) and 2020 (n=3; 18.75%). as more expressive periods. Regarding the impacts observed on children, the highest prevalence was observed for physiological effects, with 56.3% (n=9). Evidencing, also, repercussions in the scope of the lifestyle, of motor, visual and cardiovascular order, in addition to neurological disorders. Conclusion: Therefore, the predominant use of screens by individuals in the childhood phase was identified in an exacerbated way, exceeding the threshold established for each age group, promoting negative consequences in this period
