Análise de potencialidades de mercado para o camu-camu na região amazônica: Uma proposta sob a perspectiva da inovação

Abstract

camu-camu is a promising product for market and agribusiness, due to its great technological and nutritional potential. One of the objectives of this work was to evaluate the dynamics of innovation in bio-businesses related to the Amazonian fruit camu-camu, in order to emphasize mainly potentialities and diversity in the use of the product. For this, a descriptive and reflective work was carried out, through a literature review, relating it to the potential consumer market for products derived from this regional fruit. In addition, it was carried a discussion on innovation and bio-business strategies with the use of this product in a sustainable manner, as well as on technological innovation strategies in this specific branch. In this sense, amid an explanation of the current market scenario, the proposal arose to encapsulate camu-camu, a process considered innovative in the city of Boa Vista, capital of Roraima. Such an activity requires the development of technologies and the training of technological and human resources to prepare inputs in quantity and quality to be carried out. It is also emphasized that the implementation of technological innovation policies has a fundamental role for the socioeconomic growth of the states of Amazon region, specifically for Roraima. In view of this, the commercialization of camu-camu in capsules becomes interesting, because, due to the high acidity of this fruit due to the high content of ascorbic acid, consumption limitation in the fresh form occurs. Thus, the use in capsules would be one of the solutions for consumption, considering that there would be the use of the nutritional composition of the fruit and other properties beneficial to health, for a market that does not yet exist in the place.
