Determination of physical-chemical and micronutrient parameters in mineral waters commercialized in the Brazilian Amazonian Coast.

Abstract
This study aimed to identify the conformities of natural mineral waters marketed in the municipality of São Luís, Maranhão, Brazil. The levels of sodium, potassium, and physicochemical properties were quantified in samples with and without gas by comparing the values obtained with those described on the labels provided by the responsible companies. The analyzes were performed at the Laboratory of Physical-Chemical Analysis of Water at the Federal University of Maranhão using the standard methodology of the Adolf Lutz Institute (2008). Each sample was subjected to analysis of sodium, potassium, pH, conductivity, turbidity, nitrate, ammonia, color, iron, and total solids. According to the ordinances in force, the samples are within the established limits, with the exception of iron showing values above the established. When comparing the values of sodium and potassium with the labels of each package none of the samples exceed the limits in accordance with the legislation, but some samples deserve attention when considering the consumption of two liters required per day.
