About the Journal
Focus and Scope
The Revista Brasileira de Educação e Saúde of the Grupo Verde de Agroecologia e Abelhas (GVAA), is published quarterly, in electronic format, for the dissemination of original and unpublished scientific papers, written in Portuguese, Spanish and English, being an open space for publications in the major areas of education and health, prioritizing scientific articles, scientific notes and bibliographic reviews.
Review Policy
The Revista Brasileira de Educação e Saúde adopts the practice of "evaluation by ad hoc opinions", and each work is submitted to at least three evaluators. These will have a period of three (4) weeks for the issuance of opinions, with the possibility of extension for one more (1) week, provided that the evaluator expresses this desire.
The evaluators' indication is made by the editors of the magazine between doctors and area metres, following the criterion of thematic affinities, observed from the records of works, researches and other experiences in their curricula in the Platform Lattes.
First Step: Basic Assessment
The editor or editorial assistant checks the manuscript received to determine if it fits the purpose and scope of the journal. Manuscripts outside the scope of the journal are rejected. The total published articles other publications / sites are not reviewed or accepted.
Second Step: Similarity Check
All manuscripts submitted for plagiarism are checked. We use software to check for similarity to previously published documents. All manuscripts containing plagiarism, including self-plagiarism and dishonesty, are rejected.
Step Three: Revision by opinions
We use the practice of "evaluation by ad hoc opinions", and each article is submitted to at least three evaluators. The identities of reviewers and authors remain anonymous. The submitted manuscript is peer-reviewed by at least one expert. In some cases, according to the recommendations of the editors and reviewers, a second peer review series may be initiated.
Step Four: Decision of Acceptance / Rejection
The decision to accept an article is based on the opinion provided by the reviewers. Reviewers evaluate each section of work on a questionnaire. To be accepted for publication, the manuscript should receive positive recommendation in the main sections of the paper.
