Diabetes mellitus com hemoglobina glicada fora do alvo em pacientes da atenção primária a saúde

The aim was to estimate the proportion of patients diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus with glycated hemoglobin outside the target, which directly reflects on the cardiovascular outcomes of the population. Descriptive, quantitative-qualitative, cross-sectional study, with evaluation of medical records of diabetic patients and quantification of the number of patients with glycated hemoglobin outside the target in 2023. The patients' PEC was consulted and in the citizen registration and history area, socioeconomic information, medical diagnosis and queries with the records made in the medical records were accessed. The research showed that 60.7% of the sample was female and 39.3% male, and the average age was 66 years. The coexistence of comorbidities is common, especially diabetes and hypertension. Finally, the hypothesis that many patients with DM2 have difficulty controlling diabetes was confirmed.
