The importance of biosafety in a pandemic context
Abstract
On March 12, 2019, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the new pandemic that affected the entire world and was currently inserted in Brazil. Thus, already called “New Coronavirus”, the infection of COVI-19, which has a high rate of transmission, which worries the authorities. And, over time, the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19 has mutated, expanding and infecting the population. In this sense, the research objective arises: To qualify the importance of biosafety in a pandemic scenario. The methodology used was bibliographic. A bibliographic search on the topic was carried out, using the online databases Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO), National Library on Health (BVS) and Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences (LILACS). Regarding the expected results, it is clear that studies on the importance of biosafety have strengthened protocols between different areas of professional activity and contributed to the control of sanitary measures in the scenario of the COVD-19 pandemic.
