Geographical mapping of hypertensive and diabetic patients in the city of Marabá, Pará

HIPERDIA is a Ministry of Health program that aims to prevent and treat Hypertension and Diabetes Mellitus. In this sense, it is important to understand how the program operates within a territory so that the public that participates in HIPERDIA can be understood and in which environment it is inserted. OBJECTIVE: The main objective of this work is to map the hypertensive and diabetic patients participating in HIPERDIA in the city of Marabá-PA. Qualitative cross-sectional study carried out in Basic Health Units in Marabá. Registration forms of the HIPERDIA program were analyzed using the Chi-square test and mapping in the QGIS software. The sample consisted of 695 patients who were mostly women, brown and had completed elementary school. There was a predominance of sedentary lifestyle and overweight as risk factors, while the most common complication was stroke. Being the nucleus of Velha Marabá the one with the largest number of registered. It is necessary that the HIPERDIA program be expanded in the city of Marabá, so that health education policies can be further implemented in the city.
