Mortality from breast cancer in men and women in brazilian macroregions

Breast cancer is caracterized by a accelerated and abnormal proliferation of cells, caused by hereditary or environmental factors, which can affect women and men. This work consists of a descreptive epidemiological study with a quantitative approach about Brest Cancer, from 2015 to 2020, in five brazilian macro-regions with the objective of evaluating mortality from breast cancer, by sex and age group, in order to expand awareness and prevention campaigns. The datas were collected from a plubic platform of the department of informatics of unified health system, of Ministry of Health and tabulated by TABNET. There were deaths, by breast cancer, in both sexes, with the highest incidence in the Southeast region and lowest in the North region. In all ages groups evaluated were registraded deaths by breast cancer, with higher incidence in women aged 50 to 59 years and in men aged 60 to 69. With the exception of the Midwest region, in the other Brazilian regions, in both sexes, the lowest death rate occurred among individuals who studied 12 years or more. The largest number of mammograms was performed in the Southeast region. Is necessary to carry out permanent campaigns of orientation about the importance of carrying out periodic examinations like mammography, histological and cytological exams in both sexes.
