Abstract: Objective: To analyze whether, in menopausal women, the use of vitamin D in comparison to not using it reduces its effects resulting from the period. Method: Systematic review adopting the PICO strategy researched in the National Library of Medicine, Scientific Electronic Library Online and Virtual Health Library databases, in which it was used, in June 2020, with the descriptors in the following combination: <<menopause AND women AND “Randomized Clinical Trial”>>, filters were applied for inclusion and exclusion of articles. Then, the selected studies were read and systematized, according to the purpose of the study. Results: the findings revealed that vitamin D is beneficial for women in menopause, as it allows the reduction of symptoms such as increased immunity in relation to viral infections, decreased hospital admissions, more active women daily, among others. Conclusion: Based on the results found, the positive effects with the use of vitamin D in the long term are noticeable, which corresponds to the easing of symptoms in this phase of the climacteric.
