This study aims to report a successful experience of health education strategies, addressing sexuality, prevention of sexually transmitted infections (Stis) related to sex and teen body empowerment in schools in the city of Boa Vista, Roraima. Playful and interactive workshops and conversation rounds with a cross-sectional approach were used to address the themes: teenage pregnancy, puberty, gender issues, STI, sexuality (mainly minority), social stereotypes, sexism, heteronormativity and homophobia. Notoriously, it was possible to observe objectively the opposite between the school as an environment free of reprisal, home and promotion of plurality in the formation of each individual and the lack of experience with regard to the theme, which makes active education, as conversation wheels, unique tool to solve such controversy. However, although satisfactory success has been achieved with the activities of the study, it has become clear that such living gaps cannot be circumvented by means of specific activities, and it is necessary to introduce the active approach of the theme in the daily life of these students, since the ephemerality of the discussion is not sufficient to overcome the normalized cis-heteronormative status quo.
