Effect of aerobic training on blood pressure in the elderly
Abstract
This article aims to analyze the acute effect of aerobic training on blood pressure of elderly Social City County Assistance Reference Center - PB. Addresses acute effects of aerobic training on physical and physiological aspects and effects of exercise on blood pressure. As a pre-experimental research, the main focus of the work is the analysis of data from older users Living Services and Links of Strengthening the Social City County Assistance Reference Center - PB, aged between 60 and 80 years. Through a single aerobic training, data was collected and processed through a descriptive statistic, which was used ANOVA for repitidas measures. As field research, the monograph was subsidized by scholars on the subject in question, such as: Rebello (2006); Nougueira et al. (2007); Mattos and Farinatti (2012); Laterza, Rondon and Negrao (2006), among others. The study therefore shows that a single acute aerobic training session can significantly alter blood pressure causing the hypotensive effect on the elderly. Accordingly, the hypotensive effect of acute exercise depends on the intensity and time duration.
