Workforce Assessment in Primary Health Care: Distance Learning Modality

This study aims to describe the experience of the organization and development of the Qualification course for Primary Health Care Professionals for the Dimensioning of the Workforce in Primary Health Care (PHC) about the understanding of this methodology, in the virtual learning environment of the School of Public Health of the State of Mato Grosso from the Moodle platform.The pedagogical structure adopted was organized in four Learning Units (AU) with a total of 80 hours, and the programmatic contents were corresponding to the four questions that guide the methodology of dimensioning the health workforce in PHC. The formative process occurred between October and December 2020, with the registration of 30 students, eight (26.7%) canceled enrollment and 22 (73.3%) started training, two (9.1%) abandoned the course, two (9.1%) were disapproved for not completing the activities and 18 (81.8%) completed the course with approval. Distance Learning to know the methodology of the dimensioning of the health workforce in Primary Health Care proved to be an innovation in the area of health work management, also enabling health workers to participate in the course remotely.
